Do you teach French at an elementary school? Do you dream of stocking the shelves of your classroom or school library with French books? From March 1 to 31, 2026, the Language Portal of Canada and the Les libraires network invite you to enter the “Mots en couleurs” contest for a chance to win one of two $500 prizes for the purchase of books.
Two Ways to Participate
Option 1: Colour the pictures
Download the colouring pages, and ask your students to colour them according to the instructions provided. Your students can also circle the correct French word in each pair of bolded words.
Option 2: Choose the correct word
Ask your students to click on the correct French word in each pair of bolded words. For an optimal experience, we recommend using a desktop computer or a tablet. You can also download the colouring pages (see Option 1 above) if you prefer to do this activity on paper.

Entry Form
Each teacher must complete a single entry form for all of their groups. Only one entry form per teacher can be submitted during the contest period.
